Frequently the scanners will report a P06XX and you can find the code if you look up P16XX. Merely put the 1 in front of the 6.

Not sure why, but it works.

How old are your plugs and wires? A majority of the time old plugs and wires will trigger the misfire code.

First, thanks everybody for your help.

Here'* where I'm at now:

Changed plugs, wires, pcv and the cam position sensor (on advice of someone who had a nearly identical problem just last week).

I checked to see that all the coils are working with a timing gun, they all do.

The #4 and #6 plugs were fouled badly, smelled of gasoline. #2 plug slightly fouled, but should've been firing without trouble.

Anyhow, I replaced all of those things, car runs better, but still not *right*. Check engine light still on...pull codes (I bought the Actron 9145), and there are no codes!?!?!?! WTF? Sometimes it runs perfectly, other times it definitely misses.

So, what now?

Also, two more questions:

Does the 95 have an ECM or a PCM?

What is the letter code for supercharged car, K?

PCM, and its the number 1, not a letter.

Ok, I checked with the scanner...no misfires on any cylinders. MIL on, yet no codes. LIke was said, the manual says to check connections at the PCM, if all is good there, PCM problem. :(

So, now to expose the level of my ignorance in greater depth...I get a remaned PCM from where-ever...to have it reprogrammed, does it have to be installed or can I take just the computer to a shop with my VIN # and have them program it, and then bring the computer home and install it in the car?
