what about Olds. They killed it and it was literally around forever
Both of them were starting to lack something with the public. Reliable engines, but now a'days that really doesnt mean it will sell.

Not this AGAIN about the Bonneville not being made anymore. I know in Canada they said after 2005 or so it was not being produced anymore.

Why not? They got rid of the Corvette in '83. Yeah, it came back the next year, but they got rid of it for a year and that didn't hurt anyone. It makes me mad too, but they're just going to release the G8, which is the same car, only with a different name. Its like the Geo/Chevy Metro and Chevy Aveo...its the same friggin car...but they rename it because evidently it helps sales or something. As long as they replace it with something that is pretty much the same car except with a different name, I'll be happy. Now, if they get rid of Pontiac...someone at GM is getting murdered.

HAHAHAHA!
I agree!

What bothers me most is that the 3800 is being replaced by the "awesome" LS4. At first glace, it may be hard for even lightly modded L67'* to keep up. Then again my experience isn't much outside old carb'ed GM v8'* and this very 3800. :?

That'* what I was thinking. They can't think of good names anymore?

That just means we have to mod ours even more to go faster than them.

It'll bring a tear to my eye the day this happens. But it is quite funny.

I really hope their new 3900 is based off of the same design as the 3800. I don't know, will it still be a 90 degree V6? If not, it'* pretty stupid to just get rid of the engine. We all know here the power potential of them with minor improvements, and GM knows the power they can make too. :?
