holy snappin ****! Thats the worst ive seen rotors...totally grined down too the vents, i mean if the "brake matiera" if any came in contact with that you would assume the the peadle would go nuts.....wouldnt the piston of started to leak if it was that abused and pushed out that far???!

on second thought id take it to a local mechaics garge and ask if the hub can be welded back on there and if it can be turned...LMAO

Id weld it up at home, then bring it to the shop and with a serous look on my face be like "I need this turned" the mechanic would freek out...

Did you show the salesman the rotor when you took it off? I would of liked to seen the expression on his face. btw, like the color of your car.

Horror Story #1, from my old volunteer days at the local mega-church car repair place: A woman brings in a late-1980s Mercury Sable and says there'* a grinding noise from the front and it'* hard to stop the car. We pull a front wheel and find the rotor so deeply grooved down the center that'* it'* almost broken into two rotors: an inner one with an outer ring orbiting it, like the rings of Saturn only with more sparks. We encourage her to get a ride home and let us work on the car that night.

Horror Story #2, same place: A woman drives up in an old Honda Accord and says that there'* a clunk from the front brakes when she steps on the pedal. She'* right; we can even hear the clunk from outside the car, which seems to stop okay otherwise. This was the old Accord design with the plastic wheel covers that were actually held on by the lug nuts, so you could tell if the car had been worked on by clueless people because they'd break chunks off of the wheel covers by trying to pry them off with a screwdriver, instead of knowing to jack the car up and unbolt the wheel first. This one in particular looked like it had been attacked by beavers.

So anyway, we take the wheel off and the caliper looks fine at a glance. The lady says, "A nice man at my office did the brakes for me a couple days ago." We exchange glances at each other while she chatters on about what a great car-repair guy he is. So while squirming around for a better look, I put one hand on the caliper... and it lifts right off. The guy forgot to put the caliper bolts back on, both sides. We encourage her to get a ride home, etc.
