This particular Bonne was just in general WORN-OUT. Paint was faded, rims were nasty and scraped, lots of pits on the hood and front bumper cover, interior was worn (IE stereo buttons, steering wheel buttons, ECC buttons were all cracked to hell). I would assume it had 200-225k on it.

And STILL wanted 900 down for it?

I bet he only paid HALF that much at auction.

Yeah, it was definantely WAY overpriced. One other car there said $900 down, and the sale price on that one was $2295. If that Bonne is $2,295, then yes, WAY overpriced. Really, I only paid $2200 for my '92.

Also note it doesn't have premium sound. Hmm...and I thought our SSE was a wierd one.

This talk of the car having only 200-225K miles because the buttons were worn/cracked has to be the best news today! This is the highlight of my day as of right now. My car had no cracked buttons as of 278K miles when I got it (for less than the down price), so I guess I got a "deal." Maybe I'm just not considering all the crazy stuff that I've had to do for it outside of worn out buttons...

I'd probably get that car regardless of its interior/exterior unless it were to have a bad drivetrain or something of that nature. Because it'* a non-supercharged car, there are fewer things to attend to. Also, because it'* a 3800, you know it will never, ever stop working .
