Rear Heated Seat Install....56k major warn
Mods and Admins, i dont know where this should really go so please move if needed
yes folks, rear heated seats are becoming a reality..
i grabbed a set of 00-03 Aurora and 03-05 Bonneville heated seats out of the junkyard with the modules and the switches
yes i ruined a perfect set of seats in the junkyard, but i dont care

and the Drivers and Passenger Modules

now i cut the seats apart, and cut the leather off of them, so they will fit better on the seat

and here is the actuall elements inside the seat that make it nice and warm

still have to cut apart the other side of the seat, get gray heated seat switches, and then install
seat elements layed ontop of the leather for fitment

Bottom of the Seat....the best thing is that there are only 5 hog rings holding the leather on....

Manufacture Date of the seat

and now onto the install
testing in the car

current weather

hog rings removed

white string, pulls the leather tight around the bottom

leather ready to come off

leather off to reveal the velcro that holds the leather on to the seat

existing template for the element wires to pass thru

hole cut thru the foam

Rear locations marked for the rear wires

Element on the cusion...

Underneath the cusion showing the wires

ok so which side has the elements and which dosent?

left

right

the only real evidence is the slightest bump where the element ends....and you can hardly see it

the Rear Heated Seat switches will reside in the rear flip down center console of the seat. So that they are in a convinient spot and also can be hidden away if needed
Nice work Pat. Next you can do the front seats in my 99.
Heck, I already have the heated seat switch for the drivers seat... I'll contact you in 20 years when I get all the components together. LOL
