Default Ready to move on, I think....

I have not been here to visit forever! Nearly forgot all about it!

Not that anybody here would be too concerned, but I think I'm nearing the end of the Bonneville road. I loved by '96, I LOVE my '00, but after she is payed off in a few months I think I'll be on to bigger ("better"???) things....

My car has obviously been in a crash and repainted, the driver rear quarter is starting to show obvious signs, and one rear window regulator is dead, and BOTH fronts have gone out....but that doesnt matter so much, she is still a great car.

She is over 100k now too (not that she looks OR drives it...)

Also, I have two big dogs (120 lbs Malamute and 70 lbs Siberian) and its hard to travel with me, my husband, and the two pooches in the car...plus we decided to start trying for a baby.

Looks like the world of SUV ownership is slowly beckoning ol' Deedle...everybody say a prayer for me (and my Bonne...)

Crap! You beat me to it lol

On topic, an SUV sounds like it would suit your situation much better than a bonneville. Good luck!!

TEEHEE let the wheel frenzy begin! You are all too funny.

I am thinking maybe a GMC Acadian or the new "big" saturn, Outlook I think it is? If those really arent what I'm hoping they are, maybe I'll get a Certified 02-03 z71 Tahoe or a 02-03 Escalade?

We'll see....

I'll buy your wheels!! Just kidding.

I didn't think the front window regulators were an issue..

I'll be sorry to see the Bonne go. She looks great. What signs do you see on the rear quarter panel if you don't mind me asking?

I know what you mean regarding seeing signs of * previous wreck. I once bought a car from a dealer that they swore was an off-lease vehicle. It was a total financial disater for me and a year later it started to show signs of a pretty serious wreck. Whoever had done the repairs had obviously cheaped out on primers, etc. and we started to see rust liines and fading paint in the repaired areas.

That'* why AutoFax is such a great tool. I wouldn't buy a used car anymore without first using it.

Whatever you do, good luck! You do know of course, that you do not have to have a Bonneville to stop by on BC and visit us, right?

You might want to hold onto the Bonne until you're sure you can live with the gas mileage of the SUV.

Good luck on having a baby!!! Babies are fun!

I happen to LIKE the wheels you have, sir!

Both my front regs went out in the identical way as the rears. WIERD, i know. Not the end of the world tho!

My quarter. Lets see....most obvious is the tape line on the inside of the door jamb, secondly there seems to be some wierd paint bubbles or something that just showed up back there, and I am starting to notice some wierd waves in the same area. NONE of this was visible when i bought the car. (Tape lines where, yes)

Lash----

I'm sure I'll still stop by. I like this site. Taught me everything I know about my mechanical baby. Erg, the CarFax did come back clean on my car, but I have also learned that only counts as so much.

Popatim...I am NOT excited for the decrease in mileage. But, with winters here in ND the way they are and the fact I work 20 miles out of town, not to mention the need to pull sled trailers and the boat now and then. ERG!!!

And as far as babies...whew. What an exciting, terrifying idea. :o

I like my wheels too, thank you very much!

Also, the paint bubbles you see...is this on the driver'* side under the gas door? Because that seems to be a more common problem on these cars (2000+). I had it on my first 94 SSE, and it was rust underneath. Tracy (singscountry1967) has it on her 2000 too. My 2003 already has a tiny bubble.

Since your carfax came clean, it is possible it was not in an accident. But due to the tape line, it was probably repainted to fix the bubbling and now it has come back?

Either way, good luck with finding a car more suitable, and best of luck with having a baby!
