Default Race Gas

Anyone ever put Race Gas (100+ octane) in their cars for street use? I just filled up with 4 or 5 gallons today at $5.39 a gallon and then filled the rest up with Ultra 94.

I've run 110 leaded before....about 5 gallons and topped off......Kinda fun.....especially when the punks on the street with rice can smell it LOL.

Car'* a lil quicker and hotter with it.

Hotter being the downside. I've only run the stuff once.

It goes fast, and it'* not the cat that you have to worry about....It'* the valves, and in the right mixtures is ok. I wouldn't recommend ANYTHING over 1/4 tank though.

The smell only would be worth it
I would love to run some in my bonne but I don't want to cloge up the cat or anything else that may arise from running some. So I'll just stick to my Sunoco 94.

Which reminds me a gas station about a mile or 2 from my house sells 105octane

You don't have to worry about the valves on todays newer engines because they are induction hardened and can withstand the lack of lubricant. The cat is the only concern.
I currently have 1/4 tank of 115 octane after having been to the race track. It certainly is fun.
I don't run with a cat.

FYI the sunoco 100 race gas is unleaded. i think the guy above your post thought it was leaded.

The 110 in MN here is leaded....I'm sure that lesser octane is unleaded....even with 105 though, watch your mixtures....I just turned to running acetone
