Since I have my 1999 for sale and am demodding it I have a guy who wants the 3.4 for his GTP. Problem is neither of us have a pulley puller. He wants to swap the whole nose-drive with the pulleys. If I did this I'd prefer doing a coupler at the same time, but since he wants to do it tonight, a coupler is kinda out of the question.
The GTP is a 1997, with higher miles (I don't know how many).
He said he'll supply SC oil, but we're wondering what else is needed. I looked in techinfo and didn't see pertinent info there.
What do you guys think -find a pulley puller and just swap pulley'* or swap the whole nose-drive? My main concern is I know mine isn't causing any problems or making any noises, but I don't want to sell the car with something of lesser quality and have a customer come back with a bad nose-drive, etc....

Why are you selling the 99'? You put quite a bit of work into it. I must of missed a poast or two.

Do you know the GTP owner? Strange that he wants to change the entire nose drive and why is there such a rush? Have someone with a background, such as an INTENSE certified installer do the pulley swap if neither of you have a puller. I'd take a step back and approach this question as if you were asking it to yourself...understand?

Fantastic -I'm heading back to college and want little-no debt when I start in August.

Kyle -The guy is a brother of a 1998 GTP Daytona 500 owner I know (and hang out with, as well as whooped every so often), and is in town tonight (he is normally over 100 miles away).
I know, I don't really want to rush, but the car is in the papers (sucks -not one call after 10 days and I have the car listed $2700 below private party book according to KBB, Edmunds, and NADA) and I don't want to have any real noticable mods left (muffler has got to be taken off yet too).
Taylor Spiro Pro'* are staying on, and they will be the only mods left on the car after the pulley and muffler are back to stock (ok, so the stock air box is gutted -the new owner just might enjoy the added 2-3hp).

You shouldn't need anything else, but it does seem kinda questionable like he said. Otherwise i can't think of anything, but ask him if you can have the better coupler since you are selling it.

You will need the red gasket maker. Just keep your coupler and let him keep his.

Before you change them, check under his pulley for oil leakage on the underside as this will be an indication of a snout leak. Also check his oil level to see if oil was low indicating a possible leak. You may also want to keep your own SC oil nut if its in better shape than his.
