Ok...please put your fingers on the keyboard, go to techinfo and search on throttle cable or throttle control. Read what it gives back to you. Go out to car, open hood, locate throttle. Check throttle per instructions. DON'T DRINK BEER, it won't help this process.

It'* cool man. BillBost37 , is actually being a little funny about the beer, and his advice to check out techinfo is good solid advice. Some things are explained more clearly there, than guys like myself trying to explain in my own words.

Check out techinfo ........ especially if you aren't a master at auto repairs.

Steve, you have a Chilton'*. Use it. Start with the index. You know how to search here, and you know where Techinfo is. Use the tools you have available to you in that book and this forum.

Do the free mods.. boost bypass.. BCS pushed down.. gut the airbox ( Optional MAF screen removed ).. tune up your car.. change the oil to synth.. fuel injector cleaners.. run premium gas for at least a tank and then go from there..

I didn't know the 4t65HD didn't have a tranny cooler.. I thought it was part of the rad?

BCS mod can happen when he replaces it.

We ALL have trans coolers in the radiator, but the 4T60'* on the SSE and SSEi got an extra external cooler.

Where is this located? I have a black cooler on mine that looks like a tranny cooler, but my rpo label suggests it is an engine oil cooler.. " KC4 - engine oil cooling system " .

I'll check the lines later to see where they go to, and come from.... Maybe the engine oil cooling system is something else?

We just did a motor swap for a 96 SSEi. Old motor cratered at 200,000 miles so we put in a gtp one for a local guy here. Forgot the car had a 4t60 in it and didnt change the flywheel to match so we had to pull the new one back out and change it, heh.
