That is because Porsche, Volkswagen, and Audi are all part of the same company--like Pontiac, Cheverolet, GMC, Buick, Oldsmobile (was), Saturn, Hummer, Cadilac, and Saab, or like Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, Volvo, Jaguar, or like Chrysler, Plymouth (was), Dodge, Mercedes, Eagle, and Jeep.

They will share platforms amoung divisions within the same company. (GMC Jimmy aka Cheverolet Blazer aka Oldsmobile Bravada)

What do you mean "Oldsmobile (was)"? I must have missed something.

Oldsmobile is being discontinued just like Diamler-Chrysler discontinued Plymouth.

Hmmm....thanks. I hadn't actually heard that. I never really liked any Oldsmobiles anyway, so I don't really care either way, but interesting nonetheless.

I don't like the Porsche Cayenne that much either. If I had the money to afford Porsche, I'd get the friggin' sports car. The SUV just looks bad, IMO. Basically take the sports car and raise it on some big a$$ wheels, and it will look like the SUV, not right... :?

I drove the 2003 Aurora and by-gum-it, thats a nice car. Very stylsih. I have not driven a 2K+ SSEi tho, so I guess my comparision is useless.
