Default problem with bonneville that I may buy for cheap

can anyone diagnose this problems from the symptms he reported..It is a 1993 ssei with 160,000 miles on it I may be able to purchase it cheap
symptoms

THE ENGINE RUNS GOOD WITHOUT SMOKING OR KNOCKING BUT THE SUPERCHARGER DOESN'T SEEM TO BE PERFORMING EXACTLY AS IT SHOULD. THE SUPERCHARGER BUILDS UP BOOST ACCORDING TO THE GUAGE INSIDE THE CAR BUT I THOUGHT THE CAR SHOULD ALMOST SNAP MY NECK WITH PERFORMANCE... IF YOU TAKE OFF AND ACCELERATE NORMALLY IT DOES GREAT BUT IF YOU PUT YOUR FOOT INTO THE THROTTLE IT DOESN'T TAKE OFF.. I GUESS I AM EXPECTING TOO MUCH FROM A V6 CAR WITH 160,000 MILES ON IT.. DONT GET ME WRONG, THE SUPERCHARGER IS TURNING GOOD BUT OCCASIONALLY MAKES A NOISE.

YOU COULD EASILY DRIVE THIS CAR TO ALMOST ANY DESTINATION AS LONG AS YOU DO NOT MIND HAVING A/C.

Sounds like a possible clogged catalytic converter, or possibly a bad BCS (cheap part). You'd need to drive it and give us a better diagnosis. The SC will almost certainly need a new coupler, but that'* well within your skill/confidence level. Not a bad job at all.

Can you access the car and pull codes? Use the flash feature in Techinfo. It'* a 93 so you can do it the easy way

I won't be able to get to it before the auction is over. If it has a low reserve I was thinking of getting it

Email the guy a link to the Techinfo article and ask him to pull codes. Tell him you're interested in POSSIBLY using the 'buy it now' feature, but only if you can retrieve the codes first

i seen that car on ebay also...

$1500 by it now is great, but i dont know about the condition of the car...the way he makes it sound, you have a 50/50 chance of this car being a lemon. there are a lot of little things wrong with it, like most used cars, but still...he said he will part the car out on ebay if nobody buys it, meaning it needs some serious work.

it needs a paintjob fairly bad, the paint on your bonnie right now looks awesome.

id keep looking, you can still find a deal. i searched ebay everyday for months before i found mine!

$1500 is too much to pay for a fix up car
