yeah cuz in FWD its hard to control the rear end with no power to it :(
but never the less i was able to do it with my 88 celebrity cuz one of my wheel cyliders where leaking so my drum was locking up and i could hold the gas and brake at the same time and slide around turns and corners
but one thing to keep in the car that is a good idea is some sand/salt mix just in case you do get a little suck by your self and you just need alittle more traction just to get unstuck

And why do they always suggest putting that stuff in the back of trucks?
Having owned my share of trucks and SUV'* I can tell you those are the DRIVE wheels. It'* a huge benefit to them for that reason. Trucks have only 20% of the chassis weight on the rear axle and need the help.
Doing that in a FWD is dangerous.

From: Somewhere different on the globe every month....

And speaking of 4X4'*, you won't stop any faster and you'll slide right off the road just as fast or faster than everyone else, 4x4 does not make you invinceable but helps a lot taking off and getting thru snow if you use it properly
Make sure your ssuepnsion in in good order. You don't wnat a saggy butt in the snow with FWD
How does everyone'* spark plugs, wires and DIS working? The cold weather (especially on start up) will only ampleify problems.

Antifreeze.... shouldn't be a problem if you've only added the pre-mix stuff . However, if you've been adding water here and there or guessing at the measurement, you may wish to check the freezing temp of your fluid and make sure it is ____ ?? I'm not sure what the rating is on these... are they the same for Dex and the green stuff?
