Good thing you have slicks Bill. With that extra power you probably wouldn't even attempt the track without them though, right? 30–50hp... + even more torque without slicks, would = unhappy Bill.

The gear ratio change was due to the tire size change.
But I'll be able to preload into my power again like I did in 04. 
I couldn't preload at ALL this past year without tearing rubber apart off the line and at the second gear shift.
If the slicks allow me to preload to 1500 and launch cleanly, I'll gain a ton on my 60', and won't lose time from breaking lose in 2nd gear. I'll measure the tires today. The gear ratio above was based on published numbers and math. I'll work it from the reality side today.
