Talk em' down. Find another one and compare, see which dealer would go down the lowest in price in other words haggle.
In advance, welcome to the fold.

Thats a nice car, but you can probably do better on the price. I saw that exact car in perfect condition for sale for 500 less, and it had 20000 less miles.

ALWAYS HAGGLE!!!!!..............period
Saying things like, uhmm I'm not sure, and well there'* this other one I was looking at, or that'* a little out of my bundget, I'm going to look at the other one, whatever BS you can come up with to delay and still act interested, but disappointed at the numbers, ask them to try again when they go back and forth to get the price/2nd price, 3rd, 4th, 5th...8th, Why not, your saving money!!!! I encourage this to everyone who buys cars at dealers.
My deal for my 01 SSEi was over 2 days and 6 hours the second day, well worth it, got almost 3500 under the already advertised reduced price Of course I had to take it out to lunch to think about it too. Afterwards the Sales manager congradulated me on being a VERY good haggler. I told me that people that pay the first or second price they give you are SUCKERS, he kinda smilled and than looked around to see who heard me.
By the way, 2 of my buddies sold cars for a while, they say most regular dealerships will go down no more than 10-15%, not all will want to sell it that low but also forgot to add, bought my car on the 2nd to last day of the month.

I think that *I* want that car! It looks exactly like my recently departed SLE. As was already stated, tell your friend to haggle haggle haggle. If some other sucker comes along and will pay the dealer'* "window price", then it wasn't meant to be.
