Default plastic supercharger cover...needed?

im woundering is the plastic cover over the supercharger needed or is it there for added weight (lol) and if u dont needed how do u remove it without breaking it?

Its not necessary, there should be a plastic nut on the top, in the middle, unscrew that and remove the extension neck that the oil cap is attached to, then just lift up in the front and gently pull forward.

thats it ...ok so tommro im removing that and gutting the air box......i have been looking for a bumper reinforcment seince september...only thing stopping me from getting it on the road now
