Default Picked up a 2000 Chevy Venture

Picked up a 2000 Chevy Venture that had been sitting for a year or two. They guy wanted it out of his driveway, would give the van to anyone who get get it off his driveway fast.

I checked it out, bad starter. Installed a new starter in his driveway, fired it up and drove it home fifty miles. Van has the Warner Bros factory installed entertainment system, to include a factory installed LCD display and a built in VHS player. Also has a power side door and power drivers seat.

It will need a good cleaning and a windshield, along with neglected maintenance. Van has 120k miles. The only big issue is the rocker panel ( think that is the name) on the passenger side is completely rusted out. The rest of the van is very little rust. I sense the power sliding door has something indirect to do with the rust on the rocker below it. Maybe GM designed the power door as a after thought, and retrofitted it. This may have caused poor water flow that got stuck in the rocker panel.

Thanks Travis, I will take some before and after picks.

I am having a hard time deciding what to do with the van. It needs a new windshield, passenger rocker panel, lots of general maintenance, but overall is a nice mini-van. I had planned on "flipping it, but it is going to cost about $1200 to make it nice, and on craigslist nice ones sell for around $1800. The risk/ reward is not so good. My problem is that I want to make it nice for anyone who buys it, but making it nice does not increase the value much. I can't imagine selling it with flushing the radiator, brake fluid, trans fluid, etc.
