try as i suggested, go out, wind out 1st gear, then stop and put it back in, the wind out 1st gear again. that'* the only way i noticed a difference
I have a feeling that it isn't going to do anything to help performance by putting it back in. The only thing it seems like it would do is hurt performance by restricting the airflow. On the '98 & older the Throttle body was a different style, and those are the ones that usually have the problem, but I have rarely ever, actually probably never heard of anyone getting worse performance on a '99 or newer after removing the MAF screen.

I always tell people to leave the MAF screen in if you do NOT have an aftermarket intake. Otherwise I've had mine out for quite a long time and the day I took it out I noticed an increase, if anything, in acceleration.

And I'll try putting the screen back in once I get the pliers for the snap ring. I think I made up new cuss words trying to put the snap ring back in with the Fuel Pressure Regulator using just a pair of screwdrivers.
you shouldn't need the pliers for the snap ring, just throw the screen back in, you can probally leave out the ring i know i did
So, how far back do you stand to toss that puppy in there?? And is it underhand or overhand??

lmao, good one. oh, you should be able to get it in from major league pitching distance (if joo gotz mad skillz like me!!!) or you could just stand up there and carefully place it in, and leave the ring out (see i can be a smartass too)
Good times!!
