This one is for Jr's3800
Tonight 1993 SLE aka Pat was doing an oil change. (He'* staying with me during a summer internship). While he was under the car I snuck over...grabbed a couple tools and took something off the car. Refusing to give it back, he was forced to complete the job.
Car is a 1993 SLE with 84,XXX original miles. Has original plug wires...no longer does it have the original plugs though. I gave him a set of TR55'* that I used in my 97 SSEi for about 2k miles. (We all know if they were in an SC car..then they must make his NA faster right! )

And the money shots

Average gap was .080 and they looked like they had never been out before. His first time changing plugs ever. We left the strut bar alone and he had no problems at all.
I think he could give Willwren a run for fast plug changing. :P

Ha, I'm lucky if I let my plugs last a year.
What is that foam rubber strip on the hood behind the grill? Does it keep grime out of the bay?
And why is everyone'* hood spring on the core support and not the underside of the hood like mine?
How'* it run now?
One more edit: My wife'* old Bonny ran fantastic on really old plugs, idled like I only dream mine would. And the gap had worn HUGE!! I need to dig those plugs out and measure it.

I would put money I can change em pretty quick compared to most, now that I have swapped them out of my current car at least a half dozen times, at least a dozen times ont he car before trying different plugs and gaps, more than a dozen times ont eh first ssei to clean teh coolant off of them, and the list goes on with the other cars.
I am getting pretty good at getting those back ones now.
