IMO, if you want style, stick with the 92-95 SSE/SSEi, but if you want power (keep in mind, the 92-95 SSEis are VERY powerful as well, just not as much aftermarket is available, though there is some), go for the 96-99 SSEi.

Depends on the budget, and tastes

The overall opinion will be anything with boost (SSEi or supercharged SSE or SLE), But honestly only you'll know what you'd want. SSEis and SSE/SLEs have the most options and gadgets.

Go with what you can afford, like and whats available.
And ask questions before you buy. You have a HUGE wealth of knowledge here that you should use before you buy.

Nope, Series 1, 2, 3, are the generation of the motor. All three Series'* came in Supercharged and unsupercharged.

Both series one and series two can be supercharged.

They have the RPO code L67.
The series one L67'* were available from '92-'95, and the series two L67'* were from '96 to '03. After that they get replaced by the Northstar V8 (in the bonne'* anyways).

Edit: There is a Series 3 as mentioned above, but only the series one and two apply to the bonnes
