Default Painting Pedals

Is it a smart idea to spray paint foot pedals a certain color, or will the paint be a driving hazard?

I doubt the paint would be a driving hazard, but it will most likely come off eventually. I'd probably get some nice looking aftermarket ones.

The ones I see in Auto parts stores aren't too great. Some are ok. But I've seen better ones online. Not sure where though.

I've tried a few after market pedals....
My favorite ones are the Street Glow Pedals... not just because the light up, but because of the rubber grips on them.

Your foot doesn't slide around at all... which is good

Only probably is, because they light up, and the rubber bumps don't... dirt tends to get in between the plastics and you can see it when they light up. Ok.. second problem is, they are a PITA to get on... and they fall off really easily if you don't use good double sided padded tape.

Yea, I tried a pair with that double sided tape before. I kept on messing up, finally I just threw them somewhere in the street.

naw I've been having a few, I looked at some custom pedals in the past but thought "I never look at my feet while driving" so I put my few meager dollars into go fast mods not glitzy foot pedals?

Yea, true. It would just be for show. I will probably look around still, and see if I can find anything cool on the net.
