As far as getting that sucker out...I found that climbing up on the engine was a very good option. Right knee on the upper radiator support, and left foot on the passengers side strut tower. Then reach down between the engine and strut tower bar. (I've got pics if you want
and no, my sister isn't in them, but she took them) I tried going down between the firewall and the STB, but my massive forearms got stuck

I think those of us with Series 1 motors have a little easier time of it than the Series 2 in the same body. It'* easier with the STB out, but I can do it fine with it in. I have a new one for the 95 that needs to go in today (I know there'* a couple more MPG'* in the new girl). Maybe I'll shoot some pics of the process.
