Default With out the Bonnie for a day..

Today i decided it was time to change my oil pan gasket, as it has been leaking for a while now. I phoned around, all the parts stores i called quoted me at 65 bucks for it, i phoned the pontiac dealership, 25 for a OEM one, so i bought that, and took it to the school shop, drained the oil and removed the bolts, fought a bit with the bolt most furthest to the front of the engine, the one partly coverd by the oil cooler lines, we got that out, i cleaned all the old oil/deposits out of the pan with varsol, put the new gasket on, my shop teacher used a small ammount of yellow death to hold the gasket on. This was all the easy part, we got the pan up in there, the pump back into its sump, and i hand tightend most of the bolts, now for that stupid freakin bolt behind the oil cooler lines, that damned thing would not go back in, so what we are going to do is remove the lines and move them over a bit, ALL for one bolt. thats why i love it though, its always just one bolt away from compleation, so i got a ride home tonight, saving gas i guess!

he actually really likes the fact that its supercharged, he says that will most likley out live the car, it makes for very snappy responsive throttle. He also said for 252,700 kms its held up very well. He likes it as far as I know, hes a GM guy him self.
