This one:
http://houston.craigslist.org/car/269334108.html
It'* been for sale for a while, and I think I can get it for about $4500. It would get the LIM gaskets and a tune done immediately. I saw it about a month ago, but didn't drive it due to weather and traffic. It'* accurately described, with just a few scratches, no dings. I'm looking for my 65-year-old mother. She has a new vehicle ( I can't bring myself to say the name), but also needs a "beater" so to speak, as she has a LOT of highway driving to do over the next 2-3 years.

I'm sure you read the problem thread in the 2000 section. what ever you find(rear windows etc.)
you can use to lower the price.

I agree with Jim, I had to replace both regulators in my rear windows, and had to fix a stuck one on the front passenger side. See if they replaced any of those yet. Also, see if they ever replaced anything as far as the upper and lower intake goes. If they haven't done either one, or both, you could probably knock that price even lower.
Should be a good car for her, though...

Yeah, I'll give it a look over, and check for the known problem areas. I doubt if Mom will ever even lower the rear windows. I know to look for the steering shaft, jack it up and check the hub bearings (and listen for them), and check for trunk leaks. Anything else that'll be easily checked? Thanks!
