Its not the first, nor the last tradition they will off. Pretty soon we will be driving Pontiac GL422i'*. i did some thinking about this the other night and I'm wondering if it doesn't have to do with internationalization of product. Mabye Bonneille, or Sunfire, or Oldsmobile doesnt translate well into Chinese, or Russion, or Galic. Maybe Oldsmobile means runny diaper in Mandarin. With Numbers and Letters the likelyhood that a foreign language faux pau will happen is slim to none.
