Correction. The Fram was from a previous oil change, the latest is a WIX p/n 21040 filter. Somehow I knew someone was going to say something about the Fram filter, lol.

I run 10-40 in the summer months, it'* harder to burn off with hard driving, and trust me, I flog this car. Also helps everything run a lil quieter, like the lifters and all. In the winter I run the 10-30 unles we get a huge cold snap, then I'll run 5-30 and just have to be nice. 10-30 is recommend for all SSEi'* I think?
Changing the weight of oil though I don't think really protects you more....I don't think? And if you were to change the oil in your car, I don't think you'd benefit from it much more than normal oil.
