so yesterday i'm heading to the UPS office to send the PCM i had just bought off so i can get my custom one and i'm testing it out (the PCM i'm sending off) i'm accelerating and with the engine turning about 5k RPM i hear this THWAP, THWAP, THWAP sound. sounds kinda like a plastic bag has gotten wrapped around something and is being wacked around. so i pull over and kill the engine. the serpentine belt has started to shread. then i start the engine and go back around, and the AC compressor clutch is not turning. just f'in great... then again the shop on saturday said it could go tommorow or never, looks like it decided something closer to tommorow was in order... Jr, you said you had the same ticking sound comming from under the hood, you might want to watch the ac compressor clutch

i live in florida... the AC is a requirement, in florida you (i) do not go without AC... and the shop called back, they said it looked like the belt just decided to shread itself and the AC thingy looks fine

the shop fixed it, they said that the belt just wore out and it shreaded from the outside and a piece got stuck in the AC clutch. everything with the car was working just as it should, proper TCC enguagement, proper shift points, proper acceleration, proper everything

i think i'll send it up to you today or tommorow
