I got an offer on my 99 sle today that was just shocking, im lucky i got home on time to see my mom wheeling and dealing with a tabacco shooting redneck(no offense to any other tabacco shooting rednecks). as i was sitting there watching him observe my first love he started pointing out a bunch of things that werent wrong and quite frankly him disresepecting my baby wasnt flyin...haha after taking it for a short journey around the lawn he proceeded to say that it needed brakes, catalytic converter, and shocks and offered me 300 dollars for it....after observing from a distance i started to see a puzzled look on my mothers face and decided to intrude a bit letting him know that i just had replaced the shocks and rear struts plus the rear brake drums that he said sounded like *metal to metal* which was just from sitting in the lawn for a few weeks, and by that time i was also almost steaming with frustration and blurted out all the exhaust work i had done with the car....at this point the kid that was trying to talk smart whom is looking at me with his head turned sideways with a look of awe on his face, i took a glance at the poor grand am that had been beaten ragged sitting in my newly paved driveway leaking oil because of this snot nose....nevermind i just told him to walk away with his 300 dollars...and im still the proud owner of my not so new 99 sle!!!! i had to vent, thank you for your time reading this long rant.
