I didn't know there were 2 O2 sensors. What does the one behind the cat do? I just though there was only the one on the downpipe. :?

Well, they both read O2 levels. But if I understand correctly, only the one in the down pipe really affects gas mileage. I think the one behind the cat makes sure the cat is working correctly. I think it will throw a code if it reads that the cat isn't doing its job.

That is correct..... The one in the rear manifold helps the PCM determine air fuel ratio.... The one behind the cat helps the PCM ensure that the Cat is functional...
