NOW is the time.
Folks......this weekend, if you haven't done it already, get out and lube your power antennas and door seals. Don't forget the trunk and hood seals, either.
I made shaved ice this morning as my power antenna went down. This is very hard on the internal components. A little shot of something in the lock cylinders, too. |
What do you recommend using, Bill? Never thought of this but it makes a lot of sense.

Spray it in the lock cylinders. Then hold a rag behind your antenna (to mask from overspray) and run some down your antenna (wipe this in with your fingers to fully coat it, run it up and down, do it again, etc). |
damn good plan. It is supposed to be 30f by this weekend, right now we are at 50.

I've got a fixed mast antenna. Bolts right up from a '95 Grand Prix sedan. And it's black, so it's kinda snazzy and goes with the car. Solves the lube/breakage problem.

I should do both vehicles this weekend, the Bonne and The Missus' MommyVan |
Ha ha. No power antenna in 2000+

No power antenna in mine either. I like it that way...one less thing to worry about failing on me.
I will lube my rubber, though! Thanks for the reminder... lol |
