Default newbie to the club; checking on possible 97ssei 40anv...

My understanding is that the vin should have a y40 in it? Everything tells me 40th anniversary (emblems & floor mat), ssei, made 2/97, but i don't have the y40 on vin... Is this true?

Y40 is an RPO code. Look on your spare tire cover.

you will not have it on the VIN....the Y40 is an RPO that is located on the Spare tire cover....there is a white label located there.....that is where the codes are

Excellent. Sounds like a good deal.

I work downtown and live in North Phoenix. If you live at University and Rural, are you go to ASU?

Of course, I'd be glad to lend a hand if you ever need one. Also, there are a couple of us here that will be going to the track and to the Pavillion'* often. If your interested in hanging out with us, let me know and I will keep you informed.

Yes, your 40th SSEi is very rare, only 637 made. PSST -Keep the car and don't sell it, if you do sell it here on BC, be prepared to get mobbed.
