Can't post pics in Techinfo......and I didn't take any pictures as I did it. Let'* compare procedures here and see what we can put together.
I traced my design with pencil, then used a jigsaw with a very fine blade to cut it out (I drilled the proper size hole in each corner first to provide my final radius). Cleaned up the excess/bad areas with a file, then deburred with a sharp carving knife.
For either cover, you may choose to paint at this point, but mask off the underside where the epoxy will be later. After the paint dries, cut and bend whatever mesh you chose to fit each opening. Glue it in with any epoxy suitable for hi temp locations, metal and plastic.
The GP owner did the Series 2 cover with dremel. That would be much more time consuming, detailed, and difficult.
