The combo'* diameter will be taller overall.

The first # is the width of the tire, the second is the sidewall, in percentage compared to the width. So a 235/55/r61 would be closer to your 225/60/r60, but a slightly taller tire will give you better milage on the freeway from the gearing difference, wear less, and fill in your wheel wells nicely.

fine,

The average 92-99 tire size... 225 60 r16

225 = width of tire
60 = Sidewall height, as a percentage of the width. So our sidewall is 60% of the 225 width
r16 = 16" rim.

I put 235/60/16 Bridgestone Turanza LS-H'* on my 1998 SSE 1 week before I sold it. To verify speedo/actual speed difference I took the GPS along and found that in town my speedo was perfectly accurate. But once I started getting up to speed the speedo began reading slow:

Speedo/HUD showing 30 mph -GPS showed 30.1 mph
Speedo/HUD showing 45 mph -GPS showed 45.4 mph
Speedo/HUD showing 55 mph -GPS showed 55.9 mph
Speedo/HUD showing 65 mph -GPS showed 66.2 mph
Speedo/HUD showing 75 mph -GPS showed 77 mph

I have to disagree with everyone and say that your car would look better with stock rims. I think the chrom wheels would look better at first, but after you got used to them, the stock ones would be better. Your car has kind of a unique look to it, id keep it that way
