The question is do you really want dealer mechanics to touch your car?

I'd rather have a dealership touch my car than some ghetto garage. Dealership is using better quality parts, has the FSM available and will stand by their work.

Im not always sure about that... seen some shabby work out of dealers... My friends dad is my mechanic. Owns his own shop does alot of work pro bono for me. Also owns an SSEI so i know hes not going to mess anything up and if he does he is the first one to admit it

Looks like I'm calling the local Pontiac/Buick/GMC dealer to see if they are on the list.

I am going to probably deflate some expectations here, but I'm willing to bet when this happens, it will be people who bought the car in question new. Possibly extended to present buyers of Pontiacs (New and Used) within the GM Dealer Network. I really can't fathom GM being able to digest the cost of fixing every Pontiac made since '99.
