i have 140,000 on my car with 16 oil changes (100, 3000, 10,000, 20,30 you get it) yes i put 10,000 miles on my oil before i change it. Mobil 1 5/30 is all i use in my car, i use about 1/3 to 1/2 qt. between changes. i had my oil tested at http://www.blackstone-labs.com/index.html at 20,000 miles and 90,000 miles, its about time i had my oil analyzed again, to late for the 140,000 mile change so i will have to wait for the 150,000 mile oil change. both times i had my oil analyzed it was still good to go more miles. if i used dino oil and changed my oil every 3000 miles i would have changed my oil 46 times in 140,000 miles plus 46 oil filters instead of 16 oil changes and filters with the Mobil 1. so yes Mobil 1 saves me money both on the total price of the oil changes and i get better MPG with Mobil 1. cant help it i love new technology, it leaves me with more time to do the things i like.

ROD

p.*. when i had my TRUCK i put 100,000 to 130,000 miles between oil changes(11 gal. of oil)

I use mobil 1, and change it twice a year or so. Every 5k, with a wix, napa gold, etc high quality, longer PF-52 style filter. I use mobil 1 because i like synt

It starts getting dark just before i change it (means it'* cleaned it). Motor runs better than it dd with dino juice, slightly quieter, and a hell of a lot easier to start. I run 5w in the winter, 10w in the summer. 5 gallon jug @ walmart works perfect as well with the longer filter.

I'm will Willwren. If it ain't broke...

I did two UOA'* when I switched. The first after 5000 miles on Mobil1 (first change to syn), which did have a small percentage of contaminants we expected to see from the residual dino juice. Next UOA was at 6000 miles. Squeaky clean. So I run my Mobil1 5000 miles now with a K&N oil filter.

The SLE gets whatever comes out of the barrel at the quickie-oil place.
