Funny thing......it'* not just the speed rating. The two tires I compared had identical speed ratings, but a BIG 20-30 mph 'stability' window between them. I got a front end float at 120mph with one set, but the new ones don't start this until about 140-145.

Stability didnt seem to be an issue in the car, the steering was tight, the car felt grounded nicely.

My tires are V-rated for 150 mph

LOL.... could your imagine a Civic with one of those huge *** wings clipping along at that speed.... it would be like a paper airplane in a gust of wind... lol.

150mph V rated tires eh Jim....... nice..... hrm... I wonder what my winter tires are rated?
