ok so in new orleans, summer is here!! And my A/C is not!! vaccumed out the system and refilled it also put some dye in with the refrigerant. I ran my errands for the day and that evening checked the entire ac system with a black light! found the leak! its leaking from the ring that circles the compressor. In other words the compressor is essentially two pieces that are put together, where they meet is where the leak is. the compressor still funcitons, but my question is, is this compressor fixable, or do i just need to buy a new one??

I believe that is new compressor time, although maybe there is something servicable in there that I am not aware of. Check Rockauto and local parts stores to see if there'* any seals that fit that area.
