A new chapter perhaps?

I can't do it. No matter how much hard it is, and despite the current status (which, honestly, is now considered coral-ready), I can't get rid of the SSEi. The body is just in too good of shape.
After looking at it for a few minutes, it hit me. This...thing...looked eerily familiar. AH...now I remember...."body in white". Those in the know, know exactly what I am talking about.
She will NEVER be a streetcar again....at least, not in the sense of what a NORMAL Bonneville would be...and pretty far removed even from Zilla. The plan is simple...shed as much weight as I possibly can, and stuff as much motor as the budget allows. I think Curt would be my biggest source of ka-no-ledge in that department. And given the interior is COMPLETELY stripped out now, I've got a nice head start.
Cliffs notes version of above: How to take a fully-loaded SSEi and make it into a lightweight track terror
Kinda stoked about it actually.

You should order up one of these

You will likely be one of the fasted bonnevilles around

SO, what is the plan then... keeping it front drive or doing a rear drive conversion

I didn't say "biggest" at all...I said "most". It will be a 3800...unknown what series motor though. Series 1 would be cheapest, since I have most of what I need already. Series 2 would be the most likely candidate. Given the lighter nature of a stripped body, the S2 should perform as good as a loaded-body S1 in the 1/8th.

This sounds like it would be fun... I should stop reading right now because I also have a '93 body that is in great shape that is pretty much stripped out
Brad, if you go the S2 L67 route I have plenty of parts to get a 13sec car going. Depending on how much of a track terror you want...if this project is far enough down the road my current motor (and most of the goodies in/on it) might be available for cheap.

I'm still tossing it around. Got a member coming here this week (I hope) to scuttle some of the remaining parts I have. If he doesn't make it here, the car will have to be put back together (at least the rear suspension), and see if I can get one of my neighbors to help me tow it to the side of the house...where it will sit for many moons.
The project, if I go ahead with it, will take a long time to do. Which is fine, because the first part of the project won't cost a cent...ripping out every wire, subsystem, and nut and bolt that ISN'T part of the chassis.
