I have the Michelin MXV4 Energy'* Plus 235/55R17'* on my car and they are GREAT! Mine are 6 months old and a new version of the tire. Jim maybe yours were the older makes as they have improved in quality and ride. Yes they are pricey ($900 new) but my ride is smooth and traction is great (even on the track). My old RSA'*, well you guys know how they'd compare!

DONT GET 225'* THAT WOULD LOOK WHIMPY ON YOUR CAR!

$900 for MXV4'*!?!?

You can get a set of summer rubber and two snow tires for that price.. And you'd outperform the MXV4 in both winter and summer.

Anyone spending more then $500 on a set of all seasons is paying premium price for little to no difference. $400 gets you a good dry/wet performance tire, and great all seasons.

Are you talking about how the sidewalls on the wreck look more "bulgy" then yours? A lot of that'* down to the make as well. Some do that more then others.
