I had went to the shop with the 512s in mind, but they didn't have them and so I went with the 312s. I was very happy with them, Though i was only able to drive for about 2 or 3 weeks with them before my bearings spun and I had to leave the car in Florida...

MadSam, we enforce this one for a reason. Sometimes our knowledge and experience change over time, and the advice you read may be out of date, or the topic author may have had a bad experience and not posted it. In addition, it'* generally best to start your own topic rather than turn someone else'* into yours.
A more current topic is generally best, particularly your own.
I don't believe Mark insulted you at all by saying that we'd let this one go. That'* a favor for you.

I understand why you have this rule. I won't waste your time, or mine, getting into the politics of your forum. I'll remember to start my own thread next time.. if there is a next time. I will say, however.. I was not trying to make someone else'* thread, mine. I thought I was posting a question in a recent thread...only 2 months old.... and my question was in response to the subject and product at hand. I figured, the folks already in this thread might have different views to share since 2 months ago.
I was simply trying to get info about tires after doing a search and finding some folks already talked about this recently.
As for doing me a favor, I don't feel like anyone did me a favor. I mean, what'* the penalty for stealing someone'* thread, or for posting in a vintage 2 month old thread? will my post be deleted? Will I be banned from the forum? I mean, lets be realistic here. If anyone was to do me any favor here, it would be those who replied to my tire question, and not those who have such a great problem with the fact I posted at all.
I would like to thank those who did reply with opinions on tires, and if the owner of this thread is offended, I sincerely appologize for stealing your thread. I also appologize for not spending 24 hours a day on the forum to keep up to date with all the rules and quirks that may arise.
I don't think there is anything else I can do to undo the harm done by my recent infractions.
