Default need help!

ok sorry, noob to this forum, lookin for stuff on my girlfriend'* bonnie. something is sevierly wrong with her car, I know the cat'* busted so i'm test piping it temporarily, but there'* this weird thing in the lower right corner of the engine bay that'* been acting up. it'* right behind where the lights would be. It'* been buzzing after the car has been turned off for about 5minutes. Since the layout of the engine and engine bay is COMPLETELY Identical to my buick, it could be a servo related thingamajig. but not exactly sure. thought it could be an Cali emmission thing, but just talked to the 1st owner of the can and he told me it'* an factory option that has to do with suspension??? no Idea...
and to make things worse, the part itself has no marking what so-ever on it.
if anybody could help. it'd be much appreciated

it'll be under the air filter box, and tis weird lookin thing its bolted to the body. it'* located at the furthest lower right corner of engine bay, has a harness going into it. making a motor sound, hence why i thought it could be a servo like in my buick, but looks completely different(everything else is exactly identical)

my buick'* a cake to work on, supra'* a pain but fun, but this is getting to be a pain

I could take a picture of it later

Hmmm. ELC compressor? This will make a "motor" sort of noise after turning off the car as the vehicle is leveled.

If the pump is running frequently than yes it can drain the battery..
Yep. I have a slow leak in my air struts, so when my car sat for a year, its battery would drain every few weeks.
