Default NAIAS Detroit Preview

I'm at the NAIAS in Detroit and just walked the floor. Of course, I paid extra special attention to the Pontiac area. To my surprise, there ISN'T a Bonneville in the display area. No cameras are allowed or else I would have snapped some pics.

Granted the contractors aren't done building the displays and carpeting isn't all in yet, but all the cars are in place. I found several G6s, 4 GTOs, and about 8 Grand Prixs. Maybe they'll pull one in...

There might be some truth in the other thread regarding GM'* decision to not continue the Bonneville since they're not showing any....

Why would you be surprised if one is not there? You know its going to be faded out, with GM snubbing its back against the model.

I guess it surprised me because the OEMs typically bring their whole line-up (not all the different trim levels, but one of each vehicle).

GM is usually good about all the vehicles. There were a few missing last year though. Some i wanted to see.

I'd rather check over the new GXP anyways.

(yes the GP one)

I thought the Grand Prix GXP would have the 5300 V8 with RWD. Uhuh.. nope. It will have the 5300 V8 but with FWD. You'd think that every vehicle with the 5300 is RWD that the GP would be too. :?

HRm... INo Bonneville... that saddens me... Well, I'll be in Detroit Friday if people might be interested in getting together and going out with some friends of mine (all are near 21yrs) and I'll be at the show on saturday.
