My ssei. :)
Wifey bought the ssei about 10 years ago new, and has been driving it all those years racking up almost 160,000 miles. With it leaving her stranded twice this spring, MAF sensors, she has been very nervous driving it long distances. Not to mention how bad it handles in the snow, dedicated snow tires help, it still sucks. Anyway, we picked her up an 06 Equinox with AWD. She keeps comparing the Bonneville to it, apples and oranges. Anyway, original plan was to trade it in on the Equinox. We knew we would get nothing for it, with the mileage and being wrecked once (sucky snow handling). Than the dealer told us flat out they would not give us anything for it, so we decided to try Craigslist. I took the car to get the tires balanced, on the way home I got to thinking. She LOVES this car. Why not keep it? It'* paid for. Insurance isn't bad. It'* OK on gas, average is about 24mpg. Much better than the 16 my Jeep gets. So I asked her if she would mind handing the keys over to me and keeping it. She didn't hesitate. Wooohoooo! Much more comfy and better fuel mileage. It'* got it'* little issues here and there. It gets to stay in the family, and I get something better. Out of all the cars we have had, this is the only one she has really been attached to. Mileage is up there. I'm sure it'* going to start showing other more expensive issues here and there. I would much rather have them happen to me, than her.
U would be amazed how long the 3800 motor will live with routine maintnance.. I have heard of 3.8'* lasting for almost 400,000 miles. And ive had a couple 3800'* with well over 250,000.. Just replace parts as needed.. and continue to care and love for it (plugs, wires, air filter, oil changes, and the occational talk between u and the car) I talk to my car is that weird? Anyhow.. u have a great car, take care of her and she will take care of you.
If u dont mind me asking... what did u ask for her on craigslist?

Thanks. Getting ready to change the trans fluid and filter. Got it here, just need the time. About due for plugs, wires etc... too. Oil is always changed at about 3,000/3,500 miles. K&N filter gets attention when needed. Talking to your car wierd? Nope. Wifey has always talked to it and pet the dash gently.
As far as Craigslist, I didn't even get to that point. I was going to advertise it that day after the tire balance, than we decided to keep it. Not sure what we were going to ask. It has a low book of about $1,500. Which is way too low IMO. I would have started a bit higher than that and worked down.
It has been very well taken care of and looks very good on the outside. No tears or stains on the interior (gotta love leather) and only a couple little dings/scratches on the outside from those curtious people in parking lots.... Grrrrr. lol
Considering the mileage, I don't think we have put too much into it.
3 wheel bearing hub assemblies. (had a Napa replacement fail early, after about one year, no issues with the GM ones)
Rear shocks.
water pump.
one power window regulator.
2 MAF'*, first GM reman, the top came off and water got in it. Lasted about a month, replaced with a new Napa one.
Tires, belts, plugs, wires, PCV, coolant, oil, trans fluid/filters, etc.. etc... normal maintance stuff.

I'm sure we can help you fix any problems your dealing with. Also, if the MAF gives you and trouble again, just unplug it. The engine will stumble a bit and then smooth out. The car can be driven no problems without the MAF. Just don't get on the gas real hard.
