Slicks will help you get to those times a lot faster though. You put slicks on a mildly modded GTP and you can just mash your foot to the floor off the line, resulting in some very good runs.

When i replaced my tires, it was because the wire braiding was showing through and i kept stabbing myself while washing the wheel wells.
