Starting to get my spring build ready.
What could this be?

Have you guessed yet?

That'* right, a CAM

Can't wait to get this installed.

Still got a lot of parts to get. new timing chain, gaskets, I also have a set of heads I want to port out. Also looking at upgrading the transmission at the same time, new input shaft, new 4th gear input, high stall torque converter.

I forgot to add that. Got a line on a LS1 MAF, so either a ported LS1 or a N* will be going in considering I'm hitting 10,300 on my MAF and it'* only rated for 10,500. Fuel injectors are also being upgraded.

Heads are very pricey. I might get my heads ready by spring, but those are low on my list of things to have ready. Rest of cam parts, transmission parts, MAF and throttle body, injectors, then heads if I have the time.

Ever thought of using a local shop for grinding and putting the heads together yourself? Seems it would be a lot less expensive. Back in the day was far cheaper. Haven't been around that aspect in quite the while.
Heads are where the power is at anyways, Heads, Heads, Heads. Supercharger, cam, throttle body and all that really isnt that important without a flowing head. I mean, on a V8, you take a stock LS1 and slap on some ported heads and you get 70 more HP. I would think the V6'* are the same. Then all the add ons work like they are supposed to, then you have a monster on your hands

I agree. Cam/feads are a key ingredient often ignored as people think of ways to get it in, and get it out. You can only go so far with tuning, boost, and exhaust before you run into a wall.
Dan has that wall eyed in and I'm way interested in his efforts.
I often muse about what a 3.8 would do, and for that matter would look; cammed out with oversized valvess and two double pumpers sitting tranversely on a high rise.
