Default My new Bonnie!

Alright guys I am happy to anounce that I am a new and a proud owner of a 92 SSEi that i have purchased yeaterday for 1000 USD. (soon pics to be posted) And so far i have acouple of qeustions: first of all the boost gauge, I read in the owners manual that its souposed to stay at ZERO when driving but mine is at -70 and goes up when accelerate, now do you think its a problem with a sensor or something or its souposed to be like that? Second qeustion is that i do not have the performance shift and traction control buttons, altough i could feel the traction control working because it wouldn't let the tires spin. And a third qeustion what do you think i sould start with in sence of modifying the car?

Your boost gauge is also your vacume gauage. At 0+ its showing boost. < 0 its showing vaccume. Let see how many ways I can spell vacuume. When you start your car your vacumee gauge should go to 0 and sit for a bit then go into the negs while you idle.

Vacoome.

Edit: BTW welcome to the club, to bad you didnt have this a week ago, you could have joined the Toronto meet

Check the techinfo section at the top. A lot of good information there....

Congrats! Now update your signature!

Funny you don't have the traction and performance shift buttons. I thought they were standard on the SSEi.

I dont know why they aren't there the only reason i could think of is that the tranny was taken out and a new one was put in about 8 month ago.

Go to the Everything Electrical forum, and look at the pics I posted in the topic regarding the switch pods. See if you have this in your console.

On the surface, it looks like you got an AWESOME deal at $1,000.00 for the '92 SSEi. I paid $3,500.00 for my '93 a few weeks ago and thought I had a good deal.... How many miles are on your car?
