Default MY car was broken into

They busted out the small back window on my back drivers side door and tried to peel back my seats which they did a pretty damn good job of and steal my subs which didnt happen. does anyone know how much those windows cost? i hate thieves i guess this is what i get for advertising. the only window sticker thats going on there from now on is one flashing my security system im about to fix. all that was stolen was a my componenant amp which cost me 20 bux. and i think i can fix those rear seats. im just glad i didnt come out worse that what i did

Dude, that sucks. On top of the fact that I don't need it, I won't put another high end system in my car after the Alpine that the insurance company bought me got stolen...

Was it insured? Glass should only cost deductable (if any)

Sorry to hear it...the main reason (aside from the fact that I can't afford a lot of nice stuff anyway) that I don't keep anything of value in my car...too much temptation for hooligans

THose bastards knew exactly what window to bust so you can be broke. That window brand new can cost up to $400.00!!! I had that same window busted out. Luckily I had tint on the window and the glass didnt shatter on the seat. I did get a deal up here for 100.00 but it took me 3 days to find that place. Plus it was a used window and not to many places had those window used. The whole thing has to be replaced. the window itself and the weather strip is together from what I remember. Sorry for what happened. I know the feeling.

As a make-do temp fix, if you don't have the cash for a real fix, go to Home Depot and het some Lexan (better than plexiglas). Did that on a car with liability only once. Stayed nice and clear for 2 years. Cost about 20 bux if I remember right.
