I am pretty sure trofeo is right here. The 5.3, 6.0, and 8.1 are the new gen engines for the Cheverolet/GMC trucks (full size). They replaced the 5.7 and the 7.4 (454). My dad had a 2001Suburban and opted for the 8.1 because he got a 2500 (3/4 ton) and didn't want the 6.0. Turns out that he didn't like the 8.1 because it was using oil (brand new). After 25K miles he traded it in on a Ford King Ranch with the 6.0 PowerStroke Diesel. The Cheverolet dealer said that the oil use was normal for the 8.1. We think it was just a bad engine. They wouldn't replace it with a new 8.1, to he went elsewhere. My dad really wanted a Duramax--but they weren't offered in a Suburban at the time. (I don't know if they are offered to this day).

1995 GMC Sierra Z71 (350 V

1993 Jeep Wrangler (by far the slowest.. it can barely pull itself, 2.5 I4)

Another thing I never heard of.. 205horse 5.7L... so its 4x4/ext cab/1500...
Id be counting my spark plugs, Some of those trucks came with a 4.3L and it was rated at 205horse..
A long time ago my father had a 92 5.7 with a manual. When it didnt have power I think we had to retime the distibuter, *if you think this could be it, I think you have to disconnect somthing near the relay center...
but redlines at 4k?
