Dumb question, but do you have a 2.25" exhaust (if they even had that in '99), or the 2.5" system?

i was told 2.5 so i bought 2.5. but the pipe coming in looks a bit bigger then the 2 going out.

I thought one of them looked bigger than the other ones.....
