The difference in the bolt pattern is because the later versions actually have a gap under them, while the one you got doesn't. I don't know the exact date that the style changed, sorry. I think it'* roughly the same time that the taillights changed.

MOS95B, Thanks. I was just lucky enough to find one that matches my color and it is in real good shape. Now if I can muster up enough courage to start drilling. I have a buddy of mine that works at a GM body shop. May have to slip him a six pack.

You didn't get the chance to do a "rubbing" of the other car, didja?

The only other thong I can think of to make a pattern would be a large piece of that borwn wrapping paper. Dab some paint on the ends of the mounting bolts, and set it on the paper. Then you could center the pattern on the trunk. Doen't help much with front to back placement though.

No car to get a templet from. The spoiler was just sitting on a shelf. I think my buddy and me will be able to figure it out.

Whatcha gotta do is..

Getcha some 1/2 inch plywood and a cople o' 2x2'*. Cut ya some supports outta the plywood, 'bout 4 foot high. Use them 2x2' ta make mountin' brakets for yer supports, an' mount yer wing like that. Then it'll look jus' like King Richard'* old SuperBird he use-ta run in the Nascar races...

Ok back to the paper idea, put the spoiler on the paper, and mark the mounts, then just fit the paper to the right spot, and in the middle etc. Maybe someone can pull theirs off and measure from the corners or something. Bonnie94sse, did you have black rubber kinda looking caps on the bolts below? Did they just pry off?
