Default Monte Carlo performance

What are these cars like as far as speed and handling compared to a Bonne? they have the 3.8 right? They look like big heavy cars as well....

They're lighter than the Bonneville (they're W'* just like the GP), but they have 5hp and 5tq less than us. The ride quality isn't as good.

Unless my ears deceiveth me, I thought I heard (from Brickyard 400 commentary earlier today) that the Monte Carlo SS pace car has a supercharged V-8? I haven't done any research on this car, so I really have no idea. Anyone know the details on that?

Somebody mis-interpreted what they heard/read. Series II L67. Nothing more, nothing less.

Ok, I'm not surprised there... the announcers were probably hammered up there in the booth, before the race even started!
